New Shoes

Asics Gel Nimbus 12 - Every year the Nimbus is one of our best selling shoes. This is the go-to shoe for many people that are doing high mileage, have a neutral gait, and love that asics gel cushioning. We predict that this 12th version of the Nimbus will be no different, although there are several changes to it.

Most of the changes are in the upper: the heel collar has been lowered a little to reduce irritation, a double layer of memory foam has been added around the outside of the heel for comfort, a new memory foam insole has been added, the asymmetrical lacing has been redisgned to reduce friction on the top of the foot, and the eyelets are completely redone. They are now each attached individually (instead of the usual strip of eyelets you see on most shoes) that allows the foot to move more naturally.

The outsole now incorporates a "guidance line", which is a vertical flex groove that helps ensure an identical path through the gait cycle with each stride, even when you start to get fatigued!

The women's version of the shoe also has some cool women-only features, such as the Plus3 system! Fancy way of saying that the heel has a 3mm raise designed to take the pressure of the Achilles tendon and ease calf tightness.
