august 2nd - fleet feet summer sizzler 10K

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new Fleet Feet race to the annual Chico race calendar. The Summer Sizzler 10K will take place on Saturday August 2nd in Lower Bidwell Park. The race is sponsored by Saucony, Lundberg Family Farms, and Recharge Thirst Quencher from Knudsen. Prizes for top three males and females in open (under 40) and masters (40 and over) classes, including Saucony shoes for the winners. Age group awards three deep in each division. Entry fee is $25 by July 20th and $30 after that. All participants will receive an event shirt (requested sizes guaranteed only for early registrants). Post race refreshments provided by Lundberg and Knudsen. Call or email for more details. Part of the proceeds from the race will go to benefit the North Valley Animal Disaster Group (www.nvadg.org). august 2nd - round valley run

Feather River Land Trust presents the 26th annual Round Valley Run in Greenville. The run (or walk) is a 5.4 mile loop around the Round Valley Lake, through mostly flat meadows and forest. The course is mostly dirt, and one of the most scenic you will ever run. We have entry forms at the shop.

September 20th - salmon run 5K/10K

Fleet Feet is proud to sponsor the 2008 Salmon Run 5K and 10K. The course this year will start and finish in the beautiful new River Bend Park at the West end of Montgomery Street in Historic Downtown Oroville. The course will follow the paved Feather River bike trail in an out and back fashion. The rolling terrain will provide runners and walkers with a beautiful view of the migrating salmon. The race starts at 9:00 am and features a 5K run/walk and a 10K run (new this year!)

Entry fees are $25 until 9/6 and then $30. Registrations received by Sept 6 will be guaranteed a shirt on race morning. Late registrations (after 9/6) will receive shirts on a first come first served basis. Wait too long and you may not get a shirt!!
