spring 2012 marathon Training program

Our next marathon training program starts on December 29th. This is an 18-week program targeting marathons on May 6th, such as the Big Sur Marathon, Eugene Marathon and Avenue of the Giants Marathon.

Join our program and you will receive:

  • Twice weekly coached group runs
  • Detailed daily training plan with pace customized to your race goal
  • Endurance running workshops on topics like nutrition, hydration, pacing, and heart rate training
  • Aid stations on the long runs

  • New on-line training log for tracking your mileage, receiving workout updates, communicating with your coaches and other trainees, monitoring mileage on your shoes and logging your nutrition ... all in one place.

There will be a kick-off meeting on Thursday December 29th, 2011 at 6:15pm at Fleet Feet Sports where you will get an overview of the program, and we will answer any questions you may have, and introduce you to the coaches and mentors.

Your fist running workout will be on Tuesday January 3rd, 2012. For the duration of the program, the team will meet on Tuesdays at 6:15 pm and Saturdays at 7:30 am

You should be able to run a 10K and be running at least 25 miles/week when the program starts.
