Meet the Staff

Fleet Feet has been a fixture in downtown Chico for the last 30 years. Alan Rice and Susan Zepernick have owned and operated the store for the last 3 years and are committed to keeping the downtown area a thriving and exciting place to shop, live, and work.

Alan, originally from London, has been a runner for many years, competing in numerous half marathons, 10K, and 5K races as well as in three recent marathons. Susan has been a runner all her life and has also run many 5K and 10K events as well as several half marathons in recent years. Alan and Susan both chose to leave careers in high-tech to pursue their passion for lifetime fitness sports. For both of them, Fleet Feet Sports represents the perfect balance of career, lifestyle, and community.

Years of training have given Alan and Susan extensive experience of what it takes to set targets, get fit and stay fit. Their goal is to share their knowledge to help inspire others to lead active, healthy lifestyles.

TomTom Mooneyham has been with us for two years and is an experienced shoe and insert fitter. Tom can often be seen running in Bidwell Park and he has raced at distances up to the half marathon. He is also assistant coach for our 5K training programs. Tom has a journalism background and recently became a grandfather.
