Training Programs

10K training program

Our latest 10K training program is underway. It is an 8 week program with two "tracks" - one for novice 10K runners wanting to train for their first race at that distance (or first for a long time), and one for experienced 10K runners looking to improve their times. All participants receive the services of an experienced coach, a comprehensive daily program to follow, two group workouts each week (Tuesday evening and Saturday morning), a technical running top and Feetures running socks, plus all of the friendship and camaraderie that comes with working out in a group environment. Participants also get free entry into the target race - the Fleet Feet Summer Sizzler 10K here in Chico on August 2nd - at which they will be able to put your new skills to the test. This program is now full.

marathon training program

Marathon training is tough enough, so why do it on your own? It's easier and more fun to train with a group of like-minded people. Our next marathon training program will start on Tuesday August 19th. The 16-week program is designed for people that are running at least 20 miles per week (when the program starts) and can comfotably complete an 8-mile run. Participants in the program will receive a detailed training plan, twice weekly coached group runs, endurance running-related workshops, a team shirt (technical running material), running socks, and free energy gels and hydration products on the long run days.

The target race for the program is the popular California International Marathon (CIM), being held on December 7th. The cost of the program is $75. Registration now open.

half marathon training program

Our next half marathon training program will also start on Tuesday August 19th. The 10-week program is designed for people that are running at least 15 miles per week (when the program starts) and can comfotably complete a 6-mile run. Participants in the program will receive a detailed training plan, twice weekly coached group runs, endurance running-related workshops, a team shirt (technical running material), running socks, and free energy gels and hydration products on the long run days.

The target race for the program is the Wine Country Half Marathon in Healdsburg on October 26th. The cost of the program is $60. Registration now open.
